Breast Cancer Awareness Month Celebrated


ALTOONA, Pa., Nov. 11, 2016 – UPMC Altoona’s auxiliary, Friends of Altoona Hospital, learned about the importance of mammography/breast health and donated $250 to the American Cancer Society’s “Real Men Wear Pink Campaign” in support of Bob Strawser, executive director of Mission and Patient Experience at UPMC Altoona.

Guest speaker Dianna Craig, M.D., F.A.C.S., medical director of the UPMC Altoona Breast Health Center, spoke along with Mr. Strawser, who explained his involvement in the American Cancer Society campaign, a friendly competition among several prominent men who agreed to wear pink and promote awareness and breast health during November.
