UPMC Altoona Offers Program on Exercise and its Benefits
ALTOONA, Pa., May 8, 2017 Adults are invited to learn about the many benefits of staying physically active at “Turn Back the Hands of Time: Exercise and Aging.”
This UPMC Altoona Healthy Living Club program will be presented from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 19, (Lunch served from 11 to 11:30 a.m.) at the Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd.
Thomas Marra, M.S., M.B.A., facility director, Cardio-Pulmonary Rehab regional director, cardiac rehabilitation, UPMC Bedford Memorial and UPMC Altoona, will talk about the benefits of staying physically active as they relate to everyday living, remaining independent and combatting chronic illness.
