UPMC Altoona’s HealthForce Offers Presentation for Area Businesses on ‘Blood and Body Fluid’ Exposures
ALTOONA, Pa., April 19, 2017 — HealthForce at UPMC Altoona Station Medical Center offers a presentation on “Blood and Body Fluid Exposures: What You Need to Do to Address Work-Related Exposures” for area businesses from 7:30 to 9 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, in the Station Medical Center Conference Room.
“Area businesses and organizations have expressed many concerns about how to protect their employees and how to handle an exposure,” said Nancy Pyle, NP-C, administrative director of HealthForce, which is part of UPMC Occupational Health Services. “Human resources managers, law enforcement agencies, nursing facilities, prisons, school districts and any others who have the potential for exposure will benefit from this “Breakfast & Learn” event presented by Allison Marinak, PA-C, and Mandy Smith, PA-C. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions.”
